WORK WITH ME

My name is Alice, and I’m the founder of Cotswolds School Expert. I support families who want guidance when navigating independent school choices within the Cotswolds.

Before relocating from London, I spent over 10 years working in some of the country’s leading prep schools. I trained at the University of Edinburgh, where I graduated with a BEd (Hons) in Education, and have since worked across a range of highly respected independent settings.

My career began at St George’s School, Windsor Castle where I learnt my craft as class teacher before expanding my role into the boarding house. As Assistant Head of Boarding I supported flexi boarders as well as the full boarding choristers who sang daily at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. With a secret staircase to the castle and Royal children in attendance I quickly became aware of the importance to know the ins and outs of a school, not just what is seen in the prospectus.

After 4 years I moved to Knightsbridge School in London as Head of Year, PGCE mentor and Class Teacher before moving to Broomwood Prep School in Clapham. My roles here consisted of Head of Year, Class Teacher and Head of Prep School English. After 11 years in the classroom I spent time tutoring for 7+ and 8+ entrance exams.

Throughout my career I have helped countless families navigate the world of education, supporting them with a huge variety of educational concerns.

My husband and I relocated to the Cotswolds in 2020 and I have 2 daughters, both of whom attend a Cotswolds Prep School. I am an interiors fanatic, coffee addict and wannabe dog owner. I absolutely love talking about schools and schooling and would be delighted to work with your family.
